TimeWritten examination - 11.00 am to 12.30 pm on 15 July, 2016 at Medha Bhavan, RKMVU, Belur Main Campus.
Viva Voce - 2.00 pm onwards on 15 July, 2016 for Vyakaran students only at Hon'ble VC's chamber, Medha Bhavan, RKMVU, Belur Main Campus.
For others will 3.30 pm onwards on 16 July, 2016 at Hon'ble VC's chamber, Medha Bhavan, RKMVU, Belur Main Campus.
Written examination will be for 25 marks (1.30 hours). The pattern will be as follows
One question on general topic for 10 marks.
One question on special subject for 15 marks.
Answers are to be written in Samskrit only.

Workshop on Rasa Theory
A Workshop on Rasa Theory to be organised soon. The subject to be discussed will be Rasasvarūpam, various Bhāvas, number of Rasas, inclusion of Śānta, Bhakti, Vātsalya etc. in Rasa, detailed discussion on Rasasūtra till Jagannātha, refutation of others by Jagannātha, Rasadoṣa. (Discussions will be focused on the syllabus of NET Examination)

Special Lectures on Jagannātha’s Rasa Siddhānta
The Rasagaṅgādhara the magnum opus of Jagannātha is an unrivalled treatise on rhetorics. The major conclusions of the work soar close to the Vedantic propositions. Vidwan Dr.Venkataramana Bhat, assistant professor, Department of Sanskrit Studies, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University, Belur Math delivered a series of discourse on the topic. The lectures began on 10 May.

Professor Samiran Chandra Chakrabarty delivered a series of special lectures on Ṛgveda-bhāṣya-bhūmikā from
20 April to 23 April 2016. Workshop on Manuscriptology
A Workshop on Manuscriptology was organised from 29 March to 13 April, 2016. The program was inaugurated by Revered Swami Atmapriyananda, VC, RKMVU on 29 March, 2016. The training covered general outline of cataloguing mss. and using them as research tools;
preventive and traditional methods for conservation of manuscripts; textual criticism, i.e., editing texts from mss. in all details regarding method, practical application, decoding colophons and dates of manuscirpts.etc.;
Indian Palaeography covering general history of Indian writing and teaching and practice of Aśokān Brāhmī, Gauḍī, Mediaeval Bengali, Nandināgarī, Devanāgarī, Nevārī of manuscripts.
Copies of original manuscripts were given to the candidates for deciphering for transcribing them into current Devanāgarī script. 28 candidates successfully completed the workshop under the supervision of Prof. Ratna Basu and other learned resource persons
(Professor Samiran Chandra Chakrabarty, Professor Nabanarayan Bandyopadhyaya, Professor Debarchana Sarkar, Professor Soma Basu, Dr. Kakali Ghosh,
Dr. Somnath Sarkar).
